I am 58 years young and i will say i am happy to say you all are quite special to me, each in your own way. Together, and i think of you all as one entity, we all add something special here because we are all flowers in Tolkien garden or trees in his woods if i may state it as such.
There was already a rather strange 'birthday party' on Feedback as best as i can describe it, so from that, as a mathom, which is short and simple is in two parts. One is my new addition to the 'signature' section of posting (picture and a few words) and the other is to, as best as i can, explain the words, tattooed on the inside of my arm, opposite the tattoo of Gandolf and Gwaihir which reads 'Lord of hearts'.
From our knowledge of 'the lord of the rings' (no capitals on purpose), we know the nature of his being. It is one of ego, with lustful desires of brutal and cruel domination embracing hate as the theme to all existence bound in a world of darkness stripped of all the values; the ethics and aesthetics that exist knowingly in our heart of hearts.
The world of Tolkien and the essence of this man to me is the full and stark opposite the 'the other'. He is an egoless prism bringing from the world of Light, the highest form of Being which is Love. He draws us to him not by force or beguile or 'herding' as found in allegory, but by freedom of perception in regards to the Divine. It is a 'binding' of us, or a better word; embracement of us to the intangibles of Beauty, in all of its infinite forms.
Tolkien, The Lord of Hearts
