I am one of many who is pleased with the announcement that Sir Ian Holm's participation in The Hobbit movie was given the official big tick of confirmation by none other than Peter Jackson himself. [sly]

PJ Morphed Theoden "Out of his spell from Saruman" so effectly in TTT...so wouldn't it be so nice to Morph MartinFreeman into SIR Ian Holm... late in in these Movies? It jus' seems sooo... right-ON!...( Ihope YOU and Fran and Phillipa are reading This!) xoxoOldBombadil.

I don't know about the rest of you, but one of my pet peeves is poor topic titles. One does not know whether the topic merits one's time. Generally speaking, topics with poor titles commonly have poor theses. I just dropped in to say that. But it turns out the topic is one of interest to the communtiy, albeit already discussed in other threads. It's a shame when people avoid threads with poor topic titles when they are actually of value.

See above topic title for suggested improvement.

Yes, I'm pleased!

Just makes me anticipate the movie more, if that is possible. And to confirm that was voice of Martin Freeman at the end of the Easter tape was great - he does sound like Ian. Perfect.

Yes I must admit it is a poor title to give a topic worthy of recognition, thanks for pointing that out. many apologies to all those readers who got confused. I will not apologise to those who decided to get curious about it?

Three cheers to Ian Holms [laugh]

to come back as Elrond in The Hobbit. It's been a long drought for many of us hobbit fans, and like Patty, waiting, hoping and wanting you to get the big tick of confirmation from Peter himself.

It´s also my opinion that newbies wouldn´t be allowed to opening threads, specially redundant ones.

There, I said it.
