Hypothetical future perfect casting role for Eol (or Grima Wormtongue)

Eruonen

Half-elven
I don't know much about this musician, but after seeing him on the cover of Guitar Player magazine while sitting at my kids music lessons....Jack White of the White Stripes....a perfect Goth Vampire, Eol dark Elf and or Wormtongue if Brad Dourif is not available. He is very fair....milky white skin...with very dark hair and has that facial look.

Why don't image links seem to work on this site?

Rufus Sewell is strong, dark, and can be very menacing. Eol is a very different character from Grima Wormtongue, who is a sly court lizard, and probably not a commanding physical presence.

What fun [;)] Maybe 10 years down the line when PJ and Co are in pre-production for The Silmarillion, we'll wonder who the first person to suggest Rufus Sewell as Eol was. Then we'll search the old new-boards (because we'll have new new-boards by then) and stumble upon this post and go "It was Elizabeth" [cool]

His role isn't huge but it's significant enough that I took notice of him. I had never heard of him before that movie but I sure looked him up afterwards.

caveat: I don't know if you have seen Cold Mountain or know much about it but it's got some pretty harsh situations in it. I found it a difficult movie to watch but parts of it haunt me to this day... in the way that any well told story should. It was on cable when we were traveling this weekend and I happened to turn to the station just at one of the more difficult scenes. Ach... I had to turn the station.

But if Jack intrigues you, definitely give it a watch. He plays a musician! :-) You could always just skate to his scenes if you have concerns about the rest of the movie.

To make a link, you must first swipe and highlight some text.

So, if I want to make a the actual url of a webpage into a link, I first paste the link (or write it) in the compose window:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_White_(musician)

Then I highlight it with my cursor.

Once it's highlighted, I click the link button along the tool bar. In the pop up window, I paste (or write) the link again. There is part of the link waiting there for you: http://
If you have copied the destination url, that part is already in the address so YOU MUST DELETE that waiting http:// or you will get it twice. That will keep the link from working properly. So, either write in the url or delete the waiting http:// and paste in the url you copied. Hit submit.

Once I do that, I have a link.
Alternately, I could write just whatever text I want and turn that into a link following the same procedure.
This works particularly well if the link url is really long.

Some people report that they can paste the url into a compose window and hit enter and a clickable link is created automatically. That does not work for me and obviously (from the amount of non-clickable links that appear in posts) does not work for lots of other people.

the 2nd link did not work!

Maybe the browser selection is a factor as well...I use Opera quite a bit....I like the home page fast link window panes.

Rufus Sewell is a very good choice as well...he is a younger Ian McShane (almost father and son).

Jack White has a elfin look (sometimes too much like Michael Jackson in some photos).
