As you know, TheOneRing.net was founded 21 years ago today by its Founders: Xoanon, Tehanu, Calisuri, and Corvar. To celebrate their bold establishment of a online realm of fanatical Tolkien fun, can you name the peoples and leaders who founded these ten famous realms in Middle-earth?

Don't know how that phrase ever came to be applied to starting a piece of work, it sounds rather painful...

3. The Shire: Periannath of Bree and Dunland, led by Marcho and Blanco (leading me to believe that Tolkien had a hidden affinity for the Marx Brothers)

4. Gondor: Faithful Men of Numenor, led by Elendil

5. Numenor: Faithful Edain tribes of Beleriand, led by Elros Tar-Minyatur

6. Rohan: Northmen of the Vales of Anduin, led by Eorl the Young
