Dorrie's adventures in Rocky Mountain National Park

[Aunt Dora Baggins]

Dorrie is a cute little rag doll I bought today from the Rocky Mountain Nature Association. The name has no relation to "Dora". She was named after the main character in my novel "Beyond the Wall", whose full name was Dorothy and who spent one summer working as a park ranger. We drove across Trail Ridge today, and Dorrie (and a few other friends) had fun seeing the sights.

You can't see her patches very well in the photos, but she's clearly a ranger. So it's no surprise she's an outdoorswoman. Her companion in some of the shots is my old friend Anna Bandanna, who is also quite the hiker, but doesn't dress the part.
