Did anyone see Nature on PBS. . .

Thanks for the heads-up.
I googled for broadcasts and [shocked] zipped over to 'World' to catch the last 25min. of it. In that time there was reference to Gandalf's flight on an eagle to the researchers taking flight on a small plane, mosquitoes and orcs (considering numbers and one's preference to confront, and near the end Tolkien's M.e. with the theme of the battle of good and evil while an amazing aerial display of starlings was being shown-talking about extinction of some species and man's encroachment.
I will catch it again this evening 4-5pm on 'World again- WLIW. It is also on at 6pm and 9pm EST (My channel being 132).

Some of the scenery was spectacular. . .and magical.

and that is no lie. Such a vast unspoiled world. The waters of that sublime river looked so enviting.
I got to watch the whole thing tonight. It is interesting how the winds of war, with those lost mines act as 'Watchers' , as guardians of the wildlife in the area.
Watching/peering into those deep river chasms i expected to have Rivendell suddenly appear.
It was joy to have a like-spirit minded soul as our guide.
