Changing avatar picture

I would like to set my Avatar picture but I don't see to be able to do so. In the FAQ, it says "Hover your mouse over your avatar and click the "Edit" link that appears inside your avatar picture. In the popup box, select the [Choose File] button. This will open the Pictures folder on your computer." However, no such "Edit" link appears for me, so far as I can tell. What am I doing wrong?

If you go into your account details you can change it there - via your profile in the top right.

It won't let me do that, either. And it gives me a message saying "Your full account details are not currently editable."

Hmmm ... will raise with the other admins, this is beyond my pay grade! It might be due to the migration still happening but I could be entirely wrong there. It works for me.

It's not working for me either. I would at least like to put in a larger image of the same picture (since the avatars on the old site were smaller, so it seems to stretch them out a bit here).

Same here; I'm not seeing an "Edit" option when I hover, and the "Account details" page still has an error message saying certain options can't be changed. I tried logging out and back in just in case, after seeing Voronwë had been able to change his avatar, but no luck.

Aha! Somehow my mind was seeing a human head, & was just.. wrong, lol Now that I know what it is, it's very nice!

It worked, thanks. Now my profile looks similar to the way it does on similar XenForo forums (like the Tolkien forum, for example).

It works now! Thanks so much, Altaira. The profile banner reminds me a bit of the old TORn, though getting to see a preview without clicking through is an excellent innovation.
