New Zealand is now #1 on my bucket list. Took care of one item with a Canadian Rockies trip from Vancouver to Calgary this summer.

Rugged and beautiful, that was.

But yes, the Milford Road is the most jaw-dropping place I've been to - I felt like the mountains around us were the bones of the earth. Two other NZ roads to travel are Haast-Queenstown, and down the South Island's West Coast.
 
My photos are on Photobucket, and nowadays if you're looking at one of your albums, they show on the side some options, and all you do is click on one and it copies all the html into your clipboard. Then all you need to do is paste it. For example, here's my visit to Hobbiton:

is a new series that just started here this week. It is looking at National Parks around New Zealand: their history, natural flora and fauna, and the future of the parks.
Here is a short promo for the series.

They kicked it off with an episode about Fiordland National Park, which I enjoyed very much.

Here is a link to the episode on TVNZ on demand. I have a feeling, though, that it may not be available to people outside NZ. Hopefully I am wrong. It would definitely be worth looking out for the series in the future.
