Angry post (or all hail admins)

Penthe

Gondor
Hello. I just made a rather angry post in reply to Tolkien Forever in the Reading Room. If it's inappropriate could it please be deleted.

I do apologise. Between TF and Orcbane in recent days I find myself a bit more tetchy than usual.

I thought the entire post was a pretty reasonable reaction, but I also understand if you're regretting even discussing the tone of someone else's posts. However, your third paragraph is entirely "on topic", and I hope it stays:

Tolkien is not the only voice to listen to about LOTR. He sometimes contradicts himself, uses deliberately ambiguous language and occasionally leaves things open to interpretation. Interpretation is our business here, I think. His opinions about his own work changed over time, as we can easily deduce from the manuscripts published by Christopher Tolkien. Which version is the authentic version? Which version is authoratative? We all have an opinion on that, some backed by more textual evidence than others.

as suggested by NEB, keeping your neutral paragraph and deleting the ones that seemed to be making you feel uncomfortable.

This does not reflect my own opinion of the deceased paragraphs, FWIW.
