I really like this author who is among the most skilled in the Fantasy arena today. His yeoman's work in completing The Wheel of Time series and coming out with his own books is amazing.

The Alloy of Law: A Mistborn Novel

The first Mistborn book is great and the other two books in that Trilogy were highly entertaining.

His work on the Wheel of Time has been in my opinon, pure genius. He's had a tough job and he's handled it well so far. He does have the toughest gig in the world - he has to finish that series. He's got one more book to write. If the ending is a let down people will blame him, even though he's following the wishes of Robert Jordan himself...

Taking on the WOT would have scared off 99% of other authors...those with good sense at least...yet he has managed to skillfully write in a very close style to RJ. However, he actually has improved upon trimming some of the excess verbage - not enough to see a stark contrast - but I think the flow is better. I am slowly reading through The Towers of Midnight hoping to finish and then leap into the last book without a long time delay. There are too many moving parts to forget about (which is inevitable with this series anyway). I cannot believe he has time to do a whole series read through...several times. He must be a speed reader. How does he find time to write his own books? And teach! The guy must be a writing machine.

His pacing in his WOT time books are much improved on the books that came before them... hard to tell if thats just him or would have Jordan also done that too, because the books is so close to the end..
