this has been the only thing that's made me curious about this wedding at all. Curious, because I stayed glued to the TV when Charles and Diana were married.

A company was selling replicas of Diana's/Kate's sapphire engagement ring. They said William was heir to the throne -- not! Poor Charles, everyone overlooks him.

Anyway, they had engagement photos of Charles/Diana and William/Kate. I turned the page toward the Gaffer and asked, "Which one of these couples actually likes each other?" There were W and K, smiling happily into each other's eyes. There were C and D, looking off in different directions, with stiff grimaces, she with her arms crossed protectively across her torso.

Of course, 20/20 hindsight does add something to my comparison [unsure]
