First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
This is a cool question actually. Quite awesome. The only fantasy I had really been into for a while was Harry Potter. After I'd read them all (there were only 4 at the time) 2 or 3 times each, I decided to get the Hobbit and LOTR and read them all. So from like June 2002 to June 2003, I read all four. And I loved them. :) LOTR has absolutely great characters, a great story, great messages, and an amazing ending. And don't get me started on the Hobbit, it's simply my favorite book of all time. I am sorry to say I have only read each one once, but I will be re-reading all 4 this fall!
Favorite Tolkien character:
So hard to choose, but I gotta say Sam. The way he presses on even in certain doubt, and how he keeps Frodo going. The LOTR movies are my all time favorite movies, and even though I have like 100 parts where I say "Oh, I love this part!", one of the best is easily Sam's speech at the end of the Two Towers. I especially love the one, "That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."
