Smeagol/Gollum vs. Dobby

Gollum has successfully wrenched the ring away from Frodo. Harry Potter sends Dobby to fetch the One Ring at any cost, from any world. Who is more motivated? Who wins? What does the winner do then?

Gollum is more driven. Afterall, he only cares about the ring, nothing else. Meanwhile, Dobby would be off dreaming of Harry Potter.

because Dobby's acting out of love, and if we've learned anything from HP it's that love is stronger than hate.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Saurons master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Smeagol would shread that house elf. He used to eat goblins, without the assistance of the ring. He has the ring in this situation, and even the powers of a house elf can't match that. Not to mention the pure nastiness that Gollum posses when under the influence of the ring. Love is a strong force, but in this particular case Smeagol has the ring and Dobby is just a snack waiting to happen.

But Smeagol is very cunning and violent. Would Smeagol be able to use the One Ring against Dobby? The Ring gave power according to the stature and will of its posessor. And let's face it, Smeagol is no great shakes in that department. He was a small-minded person who used the Ring to sniff out secrets, gain petty vengeance, and feed himself. Even later, when he's lusting after the Ring while accompanying Frodo and Sam, his fondest wish upon gaining it isn't to dominate Middle-earth or work the kind of dark magic that Sauron occasionally does; it's to eat fresh fish three times a day and get back at Sam. Smeagol could kill Dobby through treachery or a sneak attack. But I just don't think he has it in him to go toe-to-toe with Dobby on power alone, even with the Ring.
