Gimli vs Legolas

Who would win if these two would have met at a dwarf vs elf battle like we will see in The Hobbit at the battle of five armies. I think there should be some fight before Gandalf breaks up the Bar fight as i call it. Back to the match up. Who would win in a close quarter fight in a battle like helms deep. Now far off it go to legolas but close quarter id say Gimli.

Gimli and get to his back before he could even turn around. Plus, you've got all the Elven "magic" and speed. As a human I might be scared of Gimli but, Legolas could take him out.
Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible; and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing they evidently prefer. I'm a user. I'll improvise. -Sam Flynn, TRON: Legacy

Close quarters, I think Gimli would win. Distance, definitely Legolas.

is way faster. Unless it was very close quarters, and Legolas didn't have room to maneuver. But in most battles, Legolas would win.

I mean how could Gimli beat him? Give me one good reason. How is Gimli going to beat Legolas?
God Bless, Lady Brynna
