Balrog vs. Smaug

Here's the two fire powers. Who wins? My guess might be the Balrog just because he's a Maia type thing. Other than that I am seriously not sure.
Roast chicken?! You're taller. Who? You. Then what? Then me! I've always been taller than you. Pippin, everyone knows you're the short one. I'm the tall one. Please Merry. Your what? Three foot six at the most. Whereas I'm pushing three seven. Three eight! Three foot eight! You did something. It's Latin. Loosely translated, it means... we cheat. "Strange treasures in this fair world appear, strange all, and new to me." That is a poem by Thomas Traherne and I have absolutely no idea what it's about. But, when I was small I was made to learn it by heart so I don't see why you shouldn't suffer too. "Tell me, where is Santa for I much desire to speak with him." -Darkstone

but the Balrog would probably win.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

I was so not expecting your opinion about Smaug. you've never mentioned him before.

Smaug, because flying gives him tactical advance.

*is shot* It would be interesting though. How would they trie to destroy each other? They both use fire as their weapon! I doubt you can burn a balrog, but I'm not sure about Smaug burneability.

I've always questioned the Balrog's ability to fly... that Smaug could fly around his head might give him a wee advantage.

They do both use fire, but I think Balrogs are stronger beings than Dragons.

If you could get in the air if you still couldn't burn him. I mean the Balrog is ON fire already.
In fact, it's best if you don't speak at all Pedegrin Took. "Tell me, where is Santa for I much desire to speak with him." -Darkstone

I think the Balrog would win, because it tool one arrow to kill Smaug, while it took a wizard a few days to kill a Balrog!
