I don't know if this is real or not. I found it in a Reddit thread, but haven't seen it released through any official channels, so it could totally just be fan art. Anyway, if it is real, it could hint as to whether or not it is linked to the movies. If it's fake, my apologies. Either way, I thought it was cool. Edit: It's linked as an attachment. No idea how to make it show up in the thread.

Fan art or real, the water bubbles make me think of the sinking of Numenor.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Fantasy novel - The Arcanist's Tattoo My LOTR fan-fiction

Isn’t New Line producing it though?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that New Line is producing this with Amazon. If they’re involved, would it be a huge stretch to think some of the imagery would be consistent with the movies? Not saying this is real, mainly because I haven’t seen it anywhere official, and also because I’m not sure the full title is actually going to be Lord of the Rings, but I don’t think the logo being the same as the movies totally discounts it if New Line is involved.

The various Middle Earth fonts are the creation of WingNut films' caligrapher, Daniel Reeves, who's working on the Amazon show as well. And yes, the show is going to base its look partially on the movies: why else would they even contact Peter Jackson for? Why would they partner with New Line? Why would they hire John Howe? Not to mention both Howe and Jackson said they'll retain the same designs. Obviously this logo is fan-made: I don't think the show is about the sinking of Numenore at all.
