I wish the ROP Series had given Galadriel a Second-Age role akin to the roles of the Istari of the Third-Age…. .. a role as advisor and counselor to both Elves and Men:
“But as the shadow of Sauron began to grow and take shape again, they became more active, and sought ever to contest the growth of the Shadow, and to move Elves and Men to beware of their peril…. to advise and persuade Men and Elves to good, and to seek to unite in love and understanding all those whom Sauron, should he come again, would endeavor to dominate and corrupt.” In the role of Sauron’s counterpart/nemesis, Galadriel could be shown to indirectly match wits with Annatar at a strategic level as opposed to the direct tactical military approach taken in the series. Just like Sauron won’t dirty his hands in direct combat and leaves that to others, I think it would have been far more interesting to have done the same with Galadriel in a way that would hew closer to the lore. She's far too important to run around Middle-earth leading troops directly. Galadriel could also have influenced events in other ways similar to the aide she later provides to Eorl as the Lady of the Golden Wood in the Third-Age:
“As they drew nearer, they saw that the white mist was driving back the glooms of Dol Goldur, and soon they passed into it, riding slowly at first and warily, but under its canopy all things were lit with a clear and shadowless light, while to left and right they were guarded as it were by white walls of secrecy. “The Lady of the Golden Wood is on our side, it seems,” said Borondir." She could be shown given counsel to Gil-Galad, Cirdan, Elrond, Celebrimbor, Amdir and Oropher and even to Ar-Pharazon. The series could then have explored how each character seeks and/or receives her counsel. She could have been portrayed as an enigmatic, mysterious, cypher-like, multi-faceted persona, that is simultaneously feared and respected by her contemporaries. As described in FoTR:
“Perilous indeed,” said Aragorn, “fair and perilous, but only evil need fear it, or those who bring some evil with them.” Even with this version of Galadriel, there would have been plenty of space to explore her personal growth, her personal struggles and inner turmoil and the fulfilment of her destiny.

Galadriel's role in the show does make me wonder if The Rings of Power is going to gloss over the Councils of the Wise that were convened in the Second Age during the War of the Elves and Sauron (and afterward?).

The first "White Council" (name disputed) met in S.A. 1701. It was decided there to make Imladris the stronghold of the Elves in Eriador. The probable membership included: Galadriel; Celeborn; Gil-galad, Círdan; Elrond; Glorfindel; and other lords of the Eldar. NOTE: It was in this same year that Gil-galad gave Vilya (the Ring of Air) to Elrond.
