in DoS? Anyone know yet? Sounds mean and has people laughing in theaters, but I have no clue what he said!

in FOTR, he said something nasty, and even got Aragorn to turn around and scold him for that. I always wondered what he said.

But that was the one Thorin said to Balin in the dungeons when Balin asked how things were going, (and yes, that's the one Gimli used for Haldir, love that scene btw) The one Thorin said to Thranduil was "imrid amrad ursul." .. RA translated it in some interview with "die a death of flames" (or literally: burn in hell), which explaines also the next sentence coming from Thranduil: "do not talk to me of dragon fire [.]"
Obsessed with the Silmarillion, book purist & Thranduil junkie in one person ;) Serving Middle-Earth since 1995

Funny scene, it's one of those where I just let my imagination fill in the blanks for me.
