Scenes lost Can't Post

I noticed the thread regarding scenes that were added when the three film adaption happened, but what about scenes that were lost? We know for a fact certain story lines were reworked and scenes were even deleted that have not been added back to the EE. I wonder if the BOTFA appendixes will feature a spot on deleted scenes...I suppose they'll probably save it for the big box set down the road. Anyway, right now I can only think of two. Are there more?

An Unexpected Journey (Film 1)
1. Beorn was to have a much more fleshed out story line that included him telling the battle of Moria flashback. The original Bolg and Beorn were also going to be set up as arch nemesis as indicated by the bear paws on Bolg's costume (more prominent on the old Bolg design). Beorn was also going to be captured and tortured in Dol Guldor at some point. If this doesn't appear in the BOTFA EE it was most likely deleted late as the lego set was produced and sold.

2. Dwarves being interrogated/questioned by Thranduil in the Elven Halls.

3. Thranduil and Legolas discuss Tauriel's departure from the Elven kingdom in Mirkwood.

There and Back Again (Film 2)
At some point the dwarves were going to spend time in Dale on their way to the lonely mountain.

Just a few... [In reply to] Can't Post

Off the top of my head, there's the one on the boat to Lake Town where Bilbo gives that "never venture east" speech and acknowledges Kili's wound - this was shown during one of the fan events.

A scene between Fili and Thorin in AUJ before/during the warg chase.

I can't recall now if it was during the trolls in AUJ or in Mirkwood, but there was a fight scene with Fili standing on top of Kili's shoulders.

I know a lot of what we heard about for BOTFA probably won't make the cut, but we'll find out soon enough...

Justice for Fili

Are we sure that it was supposed to be there as you described?
Cause in the concept arts - Beorn should be freed by Radagast during White council fight with Necromancer, which takes place above.
So definitely not before, althought it's strange, especially - in that case - Beorn was kidnapped twice? We know that during meeting with Dwarves at his house, he had chains and were talking about being tortured.

Beorn in Dol Guldur [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi, nice to see you here Tiberius Smile

Regarding Beorn, maybe he was out of his house, a patrol of Dol Guldur captured him (hardly) and brought him back - maybe to restrain him from aiding in the battle?
