So, i guess, last year with DoS we got A LOT of wallpapers when they released the "main" trailer. Now, we get nothing. And a late released trailer. Am i the only one that thinks the marketing team is doing a really really bad job?

We got more banners this time... and the posters much earlier. Plus the banner wasn't exactly late, it seems it was basically always planned to be released in cinemas with Interstellar. I am sure we will get more pictures, banners, the soundtrack previews, "The Last Goodbye" and a production diary over the next three weeks.
"I am afraid it is only too likely to be true what you say about the critics and the public. I am dreading the publication for it will be impossible not to mind what is said. I have exposed my heart to be shot at." J.R.R. Tolkien We all have our hearts and minds one way or another invested in these books and movies. So we all mind and should show the necessary respect.

So I think in the next couple of days there will come enough stuff. But the Marketing is pretty tight, not much fan service like in old LOTR days. But in the end we get the film in a month from now and all will be happy...

That there was a site that had some spiffy hd images courtesy of WB that came out along with the trailer. Other that they haven't released any wallpapers... At least not yet. https://www.herr-der-ringe-film.de/v3/de/news/tolkienfilme/news_113307.php
