I know you will be unable to attend this year, but I know a few of us are hoping for some little tidbit at the convention. Thank you for thinking of us, and keeping us in the loop!

I would like to thank Guillermo for taking his time to post here and give us information. He is real busy and it is nice to see him care about us little people...I appreciate it a great deal. Second, I too would like some tid-bits for Comic-Con.

and the interview linked to here: http://newboards.theonering.net/...i?post=113401#113401 I've studiously avoided reading all the interviews. For one the chat answered many questions (thanks again) and most of my curiosity about GDT as a director was satisfied by listening to the director's commentary on Pan's Labrynth. In a way I feel bad for GDT because he is supposed to be promo-ing HB II and he keeps getting asked about the Hobbit. In the interview referred to above, I loved the way he kept turning the questions about the Hobbit back to the matter at hand which is HB II. Good for him. It is epic that GDT obviously feels a commitment to this board community; it is unlikely that someone will get a scoop that he wouldn't at least consider revealing here first. A cool character to be sure.

Brilliant comment....one i completely agree with ! There's Guillermo doing the rounds for HB 2 and people keep asking him about the Hobbit ! I'm sure any news will be heard here first (or nearly first , anyway. lol) I've just got HB1 on DVD and hope to get to see 2 at the cinema. Good luck with with Hellboy 2 and i'm looking forward to you getting to work on the Hobbit in due course.

Thank you for being patient with all the fans, and with everyone pushing their Hobbit queries your way! Best of wishes for the tour and HBII! And we all look forward to that time (which will happen soon enough!) when you will have these cares behind you, and be able to begin that journey into Middle-earth.

when I was trying to be serious, and not getting you in trouble with Altaira (sorry, I'm a bad kitty sometimes). GdT really is putting the spys out of business, all everyone has to do is sit back and wait for his next post. On the one hand it takes some of the fun out of it, on the other, we can sit back and let our imaginations go wild .

I saw HB2 last week and I can't recommend it enough - I urge everyone to go out and see it this weekend. It has it all: cool characters, great acting, big-time action and more monsters than you can shake a stick at. The movie is like a pizza made by a 6 star chef - the most skilled craftsman making the best ever party food. And one other thing - the movie is hilarious. I laughed my a** off.

Thanks, Mr. Del Toro. We all appreciate your involvement with the fan community. By the way, I'm a BIG fan of your work. Pan's Labyrinth was amazing, and I've been excited about Hellboy II for a while now. I will be there on opening night, this Friday. Also, I saw the Orphanage last week, and let me just say that I'm not one that gets scared at today's horror movies, but the Orphanage seriously freaked me out. </ass-kissing>

I have noticed the same questions being recycled and thrown at GDT, and then spun up to look like groundbreaking Hobbit news. It makes me smile because we're watching the media unfold as if every outlet is trying to be the one to blow the big story... Its quite entertaining! And of course now we'll all be chomping at the bit for those bits of info on "how to be extras!" Thanks again GDT! :-)

In the late 90's this site was the one I checked into most often, and for good reason....other sites had art, writings, links, etc., but TORn staffers and members seemed to have their fingers on the pulse of online Tolkien fandom as the excitement for the movies built into an international phenomenon...and now we're geared up for The Hobbit and the second movie and I for one feel like we're back in '97/'98, reading rumors and getting excited, and like being the first to hear a confirmation of a famous rumor from Peter Jackson, I feel that your posts to the fans make us all feel included, a part of the process, in a sense....we're along for the ride, I'm sure this has been expressed before, but I'm too stoked not to repeat it... But we understand your schedule and are psyched for your posts...I for one can't wait for the upcoming Hellboy....great creatures....

Mr. PARKER! What are you doing here! Never thought I'd see you here....I've plugged TORN enough at your site! You have defected, you...! FYI, folks, Parker runs DelToroFilms, the director's offical site. He went to LA this last wknd for "Hellebration" and had some great times, including with Del Toro himself. It was a gathering of longtime GDT fans, similar to one of our Fan Moots. It's a great report, so go on over to http://www.deltorofilms.com and have a look! And it's becoming apparent that a lot of what I read in the novel *IS* in the film, so I agree with Parker, HB2 is VERY, VERY funny, more in the 1st half of the film--the 2nd half is where it turns epic--there is one scene that got a spontaneous ovation in the theater, you will know INSTANTLY what scene I mean when you see it. There is one quote from this scene I've been dying to use as a footer for over a week now, but can't b/c it's a spoiler.
