Sigrid 16 - born 2925 T.A. Bain 15 - born 2926 T.A. Tilda 11 - born 2930 T.A. The following disclaimer proceeds the articles for Sigrid and Tilda: This articles contains information, pictures, or media from non-canonical sources. Still the ages make sense, IMO, though I always thought Tilda to be closer to 9 years.

Still the ages make sense, Yes it makes sense. I always thought Bain was the oldest because Bard always gives Bain the command when he is gone.

Until I read in the visual companions that Sigrid is the eldest, but I think Bard always gives Bain his commands because he is 'the man of the house' when Bard is not there!

Bard was born TA 2898 (according to LOTR wiki) and the films takes place in TA 2941, so he should be 43 years old.

Ah, but remember that Peter Jackson set Bilbo's eleventy-first birthday in the year TA 3000 instead of 3001. And the Quest of Erebor was sixty years earlier. DainPig wrote:
Tilda is 11? She always looked like a 10 year old to me. Technically she would be no more than ten years old, and not eleven. In the films, Thorin's quest takes place in 2940, not 2941. That would also put Sigrid in her fifteenth year, and Bain no more than fourteen. I think that Bain was originally meat to be a bit younger, but he had a major growth-spurt between principle photography and pick-ups.

If we accept 2898 as Bard's year-of-birth then he can't be more than 42. PJ screwed up Bilbo's birth-year. 3000 (Bilbo's eleventy-first birthday) - 60 years 2940 (the Quest of Erebor)
