Sorry if this has already been brought up, but i've been gone for awhile...  and i just happened to see something about Guillermo del Toro directing The Hobbit?? is this true? i thought that PJ was for sure directing it now...maybe i'm just outta the loop and that's what i deserve for not being here in so long. hehe. but i would really appreciate someone explaining exactly what the latest news is on The Hobbit, cuz i'm really confused now. lol thanks in advance!!

What we know is that at the end of January the word slipped out that Guillermo del Toro would direct the Hobbit with PJ producing. It was maybe 99% official and waiting for the end of the WGA strike to be confirmed. Since then the strike has ended, New Line is being folded into Warner Bros, and the Tolkien Estate is suing New Line. We still don't have any confirmation.
