Farewell, Friends! Can't Post

Those of you with access to the Appendices - who else just cried their way through this whole 25 minutes? My god, very emotional stuff.

I'm so very grateful for the people who brought these films to life, and into our lives. My world would certainly be a poorer place if it wasn't for these 6 movies and the related behind the scenes stuff (which i love nearly as much as the films themselves).

Exactly [In reply to] Can't Post

It's been a great, and welcomed, distraction following these films since I was 15 - now I'm 30 and it's over - I'm not quite sure what to do with myself...

Well, that's not entirely true, i'll just keep watching the 6 films and Appendices on loop as I have done.

With maybe a glimmer of hope for something new one day.

Which issues do you have in mind? [In reply to] Can't Post

Because i literally remember a section in the Appendices which is completely dedicated to TORN forums, explaining in detail every thing and every issue that everyone had gripes about.

I cried... [In reply to] Can't Post

when they did that speech thing, with all the cast and crew, dropping voices out and in at certain parts.

The whole thing was a great way for them to say goodbye to the experience, though not to us fans, since they mentioned going to cons and meeting us. I am, like you, very grateful, for everything they have given us.

Yes, there are a lot of them, but some of the more prominent include - [In reply to] Can't Post

Bard's jerririgged bow.
Beorn's footage that was not included.
How the battle was planned and won.
Alfrid's demise.
Radagasts small role.
What happens to Tauriel?
Other small moments...Bilbo, funeral scenes etc.
And I am sure others will add more.....

The Speech [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes the speech with all the actors interchanging lines is a really nice touch. Really well done.

A reminder to stick to the discussion* and not make posts about other board members. [In reply to] Can't Post

I have removed a sub-thread that was more about criticising board members than discussing the topic - please play the ball and not the man (as per point three in our Terms of Service).
