What happened to this scene? Is this in the appendices? Was this even filmed? Because I remember there's a brief shot of Gloin looking at a gold coin.

Thorin finding the white gems and necklace is part of it. You can see them setting up that set in the appendices. Chronicles book talks about it as well, like bombur making an inventory list of stuff that is in there

Though I don't know just how extensive the scene originally was going to be
