Is there any scene from the book that you are glad are not in the film?

the animals bringing in the meal at Beorn's house. It's one of those things I can't see working very well on film, probably because it never worked very well in my imagination either.
Silverlode Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known.

I always wondered how it all worked with their paws and hooves but regardless they were a step too far for me.

I have to agree with Silverlode and add the talking purse.

I did not like the idea of Beorn's animal servants.

That would have just been awkward. Also glad that Bilbo did not get knocked out early on & miss the entire battle, how boring would that be?
