BOTFA EE Shipping Notifications!

Hey guys, I just thought this could be a fun thread to post when our physical copies of the BOTFA EE have shipped! My The Hobbit: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Extended Edition) shipped yesterday (and maddeningly won't be here until tomorrow, despite being less than 70 miles away!), but my gift set with statue for the third movie hasn't shipped just yet (nor have I been charged for it.) Oh well... everything should be here tomorrow!

And then it will travel to Miami (where I have a proxy account, but don't worry, it is all legal and institutionalized by my country's Post Office  ) and arrive there on November 24th, and finally it will arrive to my country, Uruguay, more or less on November 27th or 28th. Hurray... it's a bummer, I know, but I don't have another choice. Still, I'm happy it's only a few days until I finally have it!

Yeah, I've got a few forwarding addresses around the world -- I know all about that! Mine is actually supposed to be delivered tomorrow, though, not shipped, and I just called Amazon and they basically said "uh, a lot of these were ordered, I promise it will come" and that was pretty much it. I'm going to email them and let them know I wasn't really satisfied with that call...

Had a fun chat conversation a while back with an Amazon customer service person over a *potential delay* re a collector set - LOL turned out the rep was looking for the collector set to be available too. All was well - mine came on time. It was like enough figures hadn't been made, or something, but what's mine is mine. Still, I wonder if pestering them made SURE my set came on time.
Amazon has never failed me. But the comment - "a lot of these were ordered" - yep, I am not waiting around tomorrow to hit the big box store.

which means it will be here either tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest (since that's what happened with Jurassic World, but hopefully our mail won't be delayed, so I'll get the pick up card on time this time around), which means they didn't run out of copies like they did with the latest Chronicles book (since I've yet to receive that email, which means they must have run out and are awaiting their new shipment to come in first).
Since I still can't afford to upgrade to Blu-ray yet, I had to pre-order the one that I can actually watch, so the five-disc DVD, which I'll probably split over two weekends and then rewatch Jurassic World, so I forget about all the bad stuff (too bad I don't have any Halloween candy left, but chocolate doesn't last long in my vicinity).

My trilogy set arrived today and I'm finishing up the commentary now, which is bittersweet. The box is gorgeous and sits very nicely next to the LOTR Blu-ray trilogy set :-)
The statue version didn't ship for anyone, unfortunately, but it was only delayed by a week, and Amazon took $15 off my order, so I'll be getting it for only $40! Which is an amazing deal and I'll happily accept a week delay for it. Once that comes, I'll put all three standalone releases on eBay, along with the ultraviolet code for the trilogy, and someone will get a nice deal on a very fine collection of films.

Weird that they didn't stock enough though. Have to figure they would have gotten roughly the same number of orders as for the last two movies.
I just finished the first half of the movie again, have to save the rest for tomorrow. Got to see the "twirly-whirlys" again though!
