THAT is just so amazing!!!!!!! ....geez. Yes, that artist is awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I might have missed this here being unable to catch all that goes on here on TORn. How long did it take Elfprincess? Did it happen in one session, i bet not. I say at least 2. Man everyone is going to freak when they see that on the street. It has such power. It gives me goosebumps. He used a bit of white didn't he? The lighting effect it has is just so cool. I love it .
"Tolkien, like Lewis, believed that, through story, the real world would become a more magical place, full of meaning. We see its patterns and colors in a fresh way. The recovery of a true view of the world applies both to individual things, like hills and stones, and to the cosmic - the depths of space and time itself. For in sub-creation, in Tolkien's view, there is a "survey" of space and time. Reality is captured on a miniature scale. Through stories like The Lord of the Rings, a renewed view of things is given, illuminating the homely, the spiritial, the physical, and the moral dimensions of the world." Tolkien and C.S. Lewis- The Gift of Friendship -Duriez May the grace of Manwë let us soar with eagle's wings!
In the air, among the clouds in the sky Here is where the birds of Manwe fly Looking at the land, and the water that flows The true beauty of earth shows With the stars of Varda lighting my way In all the realms this is where I stay In the realm of Manwë Súlimo By El~Cugu From the website: 'The Realm of Manwe'

"There was something in this tree that I have never seen before," he said. "It was not an orc. It fled as soon as I touched the tree-stem. It seemed to be wary, and to have some skill in trees, or I might have thought that it was one of you hobbits."

It took about 3 hours and was all done in one sitting. Can't wait to show it off in the street :) Right now it's just peeling and itchy. He did not use any white, it's all black and grey. Guess my skintone helps as I haven't gotten much sun this year. Elfprincess

Just got my own Tolkien inspired tattoo done, so I can sympathise with you on the scabs. This is amazing! Not only because it's LOTR, but I think anyone who loves a good tattoo would appreciate it. The detail on the face is just wonderful. Well done to you and your tattoo artist.

That's a huge tattoo! And very, very well done! You must tell us what type of comments you receive XD I've been thinking about a Tolkien tattoo myself (though a very small one, about an inch big), but I'm deathly afraid of needles so I'm not sure if it'll ever happen ><
