LOTR/Hobbit Fabric Can't Post

Hello LOTR/Hobbit fans - I am looking for cotton fabric of images from LOTR. I want to make a quilt for my daughter's wedding. I really need some help. My vision is one large ring with various imagery from the movies in and surrounding the ring. I want to make it queen size. Does anyone know where I can find fabric, or if LOTR is licensed?

Interesting project. [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm a quilter, too, and I have not seen anything in quilt shops I've visited in the US or NZ, officially sanctioned or otherwise. A quick google search for LOTR fabric turned up a few things in online sites. Am out of time this morning but will look later because I'm intrigued. There are other quilters around here. Good luck!

LOTR fabric [In reply to] Can't Post

I am not really a quilter, just a person who sews lots of different things. My husband and I were talking about doing a Middle Earth quilt and the difficulty finding fabric. I came up with doing hand embroidery for some motifs. If you have or know someone who has the software for creating your own machine embroideries, you could fashion your own. Probably the easiest one is to get a product that is fabric fused to paper that will go through an ink jet printer and transfer screen captures for each motif you want. You then sew the fabric together into a quilt top.

I certainly wish you all the luck with your project.
