I converted our boring doorway into a Hobbit doorway. It's made (mostly) out of Styrofoam. If you'd like to check out my instructable on the steps to make this I can provide a link.

Did you have a round doorway to begin with? This sounds very interesting. I still remember realizing that the ironwork on the inside of Bilbo’s front door was the hinge assembly. If you share a link, I’ll take a look.

The original doorway was your typical 5-foot wide door. I pulled off the trim and slapped on the Styrofoam and wooden panels. One of my criteria was that the doorway could be restored to its original condition in a few hours. Here's the link. https://www.instructables.com/Easy-Hobbit-Doorway/

The arch looks so real. My favourite parts are the carved panels, which of course are real and very nicely done. Thanks for sharing! .
