I finally finished a painting of the Grey Havens that my friend had asked me to do for her. I thought I would share it before I give it to her. The lighting was hard to do, especially with the cliffs, even with a reference photo, but hopefully it's ok.

Acrylics with most of my paintings. And the size is *runs to go check back of canvas*... 12in x 16in. And yes it is a digital photo, I used canvas board so it doesn't fit into the scanner because of how thick it is and the size. That's why the picture is kinda blurry, couldn't get the camera to behave. Thanks!

I like the blurry effect the photo creates, it adds to the etheral feel of the piece.

It's not supposed to be blurry, that was the camera's fault. But blurry works to! I actually like the photo just a tad more than the actual painting! Thanks!

I've been working on one of Minas Tirith (not very original, more for practice) and it's been taking a very long time. I started it in July and I'm still not done. I don't work on it every day, but it still takes a long time to paint all the little buildings. I've been wanting to post more, but I haven't really done much Tolkien related work so I don't have much to post. I might post my pic of Minst Tirith in progress. There is still a lot of work to do on that.
