They look old and wise and thoughtful and careworn, just like Gandalf's eyes should look. Very nice. I also like his hand. It's kind of big, and that may be perspective, but to me it symbolizes something I'm having a hard time putting into words, about the size of his responsibility in the world, and his willingness to work for the good. Very nice portrait!

about those eyes: they're very expressive. I also like that little curve of worry in his mouth.
Is this pencil? You might want to consider moving the rim of his hat, the part to the right of his staff, up a bit, so it has more of a "flow" over his forehead.
