Faramirs sacrifice Can't Post

Hello everyone my name is nelson forero
Im new to the forums I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan
my first submission is a recreation of a scene from The Return of the king in which Faramir son of Denethor tries to retake the city of osgiliath.
Faramir charges in with 200 men but fails in retaking the city.

Excellent [In reply to] Can't Post

I really like your re-creation. It has quite an comic book style. I don't think I've seen any LOTR pictures like this before! Are you professional? If I may offer some constructive critism, Faramir's horse seems to be slightly out of proportion. I've been drawing for years and I know how difficult it can be to get proportion and perspective right.

hello there and thank you for commenting. I am not working proffesionally but I have done work for a few indipendent publishers.
I do aggree with you on the proportion issues. this drawing proved to be very difficult for me. drawing horses is no easy task lol.but I do like to challange myself thats how we learn.overall I was very pleased with this drawing and im a bit more comfortable with drawing horses now.
thanks again.

Something unique about this ... [In reply to] Can't Post

I like your style. Reminds me of Medieval Art styles in some way. Quite fitting. Keep up the good work! Smile

Unique! [In reply to] Can't Post

I particularly like the stylized use of black/white/contrast. The pitch-black mountain range in the background gives it an appropriately foreboding feeling. I'm surprised to read you are not a professional? Very nice work!
