Fan-made Hobbit trailer
|
Can't Post
|
|
I intended to do this a looooong time ago, but life got in the way. (lol) Anyway, here is my fan-made trailer for The Hobbit. YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGMfq6ArC6Q SaveFile (download, higher quality): http://www.savefile.com/files/1616814 Here's a few basic things that I'd like to point out: - The people I used for the Dwarves included Stellan Skarsgard from King Arthur (he became Thorin as I made the video, although that wasn't my initial intent), Brendan Gleeson from Braveheart, and a misc. fella from Gladiator.
- Yes, I used one shot of Frodo for Bilbo (the shot where, in FotR, Frodo looks up through the treeroots to see the Nazgul)
- The wolf-looking thing from Lady In The Water (can't remember what it was called in that) is supposed to be a Warg. I know there's been some talk about the Wargs being redesigned for The Hobbit, so this was supposed to reflect that in some way.
- All shots of Helms Deep (the doors being thrown open, the rather Dwarf-looking statue) are meant to be the Lonely Mountain.
- The Smaug shots are pretty obvious.... (lol)
- The clips of arrows being fired (from The Last Alliance) and charging horses is meant to be from The Battle of Five Armies (as well as all other fighting clips I used)
- Near the end, the guy screaming while firing an arrow (from King Arthur) is meant to be Bard as he shoots down Smaug.
- The last clip of "Thorin" (the guy from King Arthur) is meant to be when he is injured in battle
I know, most of those are pretty obvious and you probably could have figured it all out yourselves... but I thought I'd go ahead and put it all down, just in case. Music used: Madokara Mieru by Corner Stone Cues Tribute by Future World Music Madokara Mieru by Corner Stone Cues (again) Video used: The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, King Arthur, King Kong, Lady In The Water, Ring of the Nibelungs, Eragon, and Gladiator. DISCLAIMER: NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED! ALL VIDEO AND MUSIC BELONGS TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS, *NOT* ME! I make NO PROFIT from ANY of my videos. This is purely for fun. Well, I think that about covers everything! LOL. I hope you all enjoy it!

I'm really excited about it coming out! And this is really nice, very well put together. My thanks to you for sharing this .
Dagonet, Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shdows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Excellent job! That was really epic. I'm gonna get some other people to see this!
My life at the moment is a bit like my wardrobe: Organized chaos." -David Wenham. "I think being different, going against the grain of society, is the greatest thing in the world." -Elijah Wood. "Well you always pick a 6 foot 1 guy to play a dwarf because you want a big dwarf." -John Rys-Davies "Hello. I'm Craig Parker. I play Haldir and I'm ..." - makes exaggerated cutting motion to his throat with hand - "... in the next movie." Wonderful.

Very inventive use of a couple of different things! You timed the "cuts" perfectly-like when Gandy is climbing and you only see Gimli behind. Nice use of music too!!

One of the better ones I've seen! Excellent job!
"WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN" Did you ever wish certain moments from LOTR could've made it to the screen? Have you ever imagined what would have happened if all of the original writings from the script actually made it to the films? Well, "What Could Have Been" is the right discussion for you! Starting this summer will be a series of topics about what could have been in "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy". Be on the lookout, and be sure to join in on the fun!

Well done KateTheHobbit, great job, I can't get enough of this stuff, sends shivers down my spine even when I know it is a fan trailer. Stellan Skarsgard looks pretty much at home actually and his isn't one of the names that come up often.. Appetite wetted....thanks

It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something. Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam? Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.

I totally was enthralled by the entire thing. What a way to open!
Eowyn: But no living man am I! You look upon a woman. Eowyn I am, Eomund's daughter. You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him. Lord Of The Rings Book 5 Chapter 6 The Battle of the Pelennor Fields

I really loved it, its the best Hobbit fan trailer I saw so far, and by far. The music and rather original source picks (not the same old LOTR, Dragonheart, Dragonslayer clips hehe) work fantastic. I made a teaser today as well, but its not action focused, rather.. sentimental lol. I hope you like :) http://youtube.com/watch?v=AMSr6qSTs3Q

I enjoyed that, it was really well done. Good clip choice and effective music. I usually hate fan-made trailers for films that haven't been released but that was great.
