Hi everyone. Well, I am looking for a possible illustrator for my work-in-progress fan fic. I'm not looking for the whole story to be illustrated, just a few key moments here and there. I would draw them myself but I have neither the time nor the skill level I want for these pictures to do it. I do have some drawings/pictures for reference as well as original character decrptions.
I am mainly looking for realistic drawings (no anime/manga or "cartoonish") preferably in pencil or digital. If you are interested, let me know and I'll take a look at your work and decide if you are the artist for me! If you know other good places to search for artists too, let me know. Thanks a bunch!!

I'm not a professional, I'm still in school, but I do realistic paintings and sketches. I have some artwork about on the fan art forum if you would like to look at some of it.

I've seen some of your painting's and they are absolutly amazing! They remind me a lot of Alan Lee's painting's of Middle Earth. How long does it take for you to paint one of thse? You have so many! Just one would take me weeks! lol
Back to the fanfic art. You are more than welcome to give it a try. However, I failed to mention in my first post that I'm looking for voulenteer work, not really paid commissions (I don't exactly have the money to spend of a bunch of pictures, plus, this story is a little bit of a secret that I don't think my husband even knows I'm writing. Not that he'd dissaprove, he just wouldn't think it terribly important to do). So if you wouldn't be opposed to doing it as, well, a favor then I'd love for you to give it a whirl. If you want more details, feel free to send me a PM. But there is one as far as my free time goes. I have some spare time, but lately things have been more busy than I would like. With school work and family stuff, it would take longer than usual to get them back to you. They usually take me about 3-5 days, depending on how many hours per day I spend on one painting. So I could do them, just don't expect immediate results. It may take a month per picture, less or more depending on the work load. I hate to say this but school comes first, though I would prefer that my time was filled with art. So, just a warning.
And I didn't expect money, so don't worry. I would be happy to do a favor for a fellow TORn sib! And I totally get the whole fan fic as a secret thing. I have a story that most of family and friends don't even know about it. But sometimes the stories are to precious to have everyone know about it. And for a while it's nice to have something to yourself.
Based off the pictures you attatched, it looks like something to do with elves, maybe hobbits? If there is any other info I could have to help the imagination flow it would be much appreciated. Don't feel like you have to give me the whole story, just bits and pieces that might help with the scenes you want painted. Just a thought, what ever works.
Hopefully that works, if there is anything else just let me know!

That's totaly fine. I compleatly understand and I'm in no hurry to have the pictures. Like I said, the story isn't even complete yet so don't worry about any time frame. I can PM you the basic plot of the story but keep in mind that it does change sometimes, not durasticly and not enough to effect any of the art. I do have the first 4 chapters written but I am curresntly revising them a bit and I can send them to you as soon as i'm finished, which shouldn't take very long since I'm not changing much.
As for which scenes to draw (or paint, your choice), I'll leave that up to you, I'm not really picky but there is one scene that I definatly want and i'll fill you in on the details later, as it doesn't happen for a while in the story.
Thanks again and I'm so happy to have a fellow TORdN sib do this for me!....I think I'm gunna cry!...*sniffle*

That's fine, and I know the editing revising thing. It takes a while. I've been doing it for almost a year, but not a regular basis. It's hard. Can't wait to read it! And I can't wait to get started!
And thanks for understanding the whole time issue. Know that I will work very hard on it in my free time though!
