This is supposed to be Peter Jackson as a (large) hobbit reading There and Back Again with Bilbo standing next to him. This was from when Mr. Jackson was a bit heavier, I'd need to redo it to get a good likeness again. Or I suppose I should include Guillermo del Toro now anyway. It could use a redo anyway, I was never too happy with it. The books on the table have PJ's other movies written on the spine. Oil on linen, I think about 12x16 inches.

I really like the centering of the feet- shows, of course, the unique physical characteristics of hobbits in general, and the relaxing position gives the piece a comfortable feel.
"Despair, or folly?" said Gandalf. "It is not despair, for despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt." "This is the hour of the Shire-folk, when they arise from their quiet fields to shake the towers and counsels of the Great." http://hobbitmeals.wordpress.com

Thanks! I'm gonna post more. Ainu Laire you've got some nice art on deviant. Sadly I don't have a portrait of Aragorn for you, only a few caricatures...

I like the texture you created. The warm colors make it feel so welcoming. Good job!

And by all means, get working on that Aragorn portrait! ;) Your Grima was absolutely brilliant- the caricatures were wonderful as well, though I know little about such things.
