My mysterious screen of A's

No one else has posted about this, so must be just me. For the last 2 days I've been welcomed to TORN with this screen and its strange addition of  's all over the place. It isn't hindering me in any way, but I wonder why it's happening and if there's a fix for it?
I'm using Windows Home 11 on a Lenovo laptop. The  's appear using Firefox, Chrome, and Opera browsers, but not on Vivaldi browser. They appear whether I'm logged in or not. And maybe the issue is somehow caused by NordVPN, even on pause? I raise that because NordVPN was interfering with LibreOffice (open source competitor to MS Office) even when paused.

Did this website recently upgrade MySQL or PHP?
As this article below suggests, it's an encoding issue where a non-breaking space shows up as the accented 'A'. If it were this website's problem, however, I don't know how it would appear for you in Chrome and not for everyone else. Maybe look for a Windows update that delivered new encoding updates to you. You have two strikes against you on your laptop: Windows 11 and Home Edition, both of dubious distinction.

I clicked on the A's, downloaded an MP3 file, and there were heavenly choirs singing ethereal music to glorify the magnificence of Eru. The lyrics were exalted, inspiring, divinely cryptic:

You know, turning NordVPN off and on. But I'm used to reporting things and other people testing them. Anyway, I can confirm that with NordVPN off, all is normal, and when it's on, the accented uppercase A's appear, so question answered. But in case this helps someone else who is befuddled, maybe it can be added to a learning file somewhere.
NordVPN is pretty common, and it has very strange effects on other software. It's one thing to mess up TORN (and no other site I visit), but for it to mess up LibreOffice, which is an office suite and not a website, it's just a whole different ball of wax.

Ok, if we're not looking for solutions, I think this is an Easter Egg that's been hidden on this website since these forums were started, and whomever discovers it gets the $1m prize money. Contact TORN for the the check. I'm sure they're good for it.
