This is really a question that I have been puzzling out. Please give your theories supporting why or why not.

hi (dol)l : ) just a difference of opinion re the wording.... i think +anything+ is possible with a work of fantasy fiction... grr martin can do what he wants. do i think he will write things into the book so bran will walk again? no. he's kind of an implacable writer-god that way. cheers -- .

You might need some context with the question ...

Presumably you're talking about GoT?

Yes I am referring to GoT. My reasoning for this is on my other thread in off topic. But to keep this as a fresh conversation I have copied and pasted them here. "Does anyone think Bran will ever walk again? I think it's highly possible. The reason being that I don't recall it ever being said that there was anything physically wrong with Bran after the accident other than some severe head trauma, and a few broken ribs. There doesn't seem to be anything else wrong, at least externally. I don't remeber the book ever saying Bran's back was broken or his spine injured. His legs weren't broken so maybe there is a way he can regain his mobility?" And This. "Sorry. I did find this. I should have included it. "His back is broken, little one," Tyrion told her. "The fall shattered his legs as well. They keep him alive with honey and water, or he would starve to death. Perhaps, if he wakes, he will be able to eat real food, but he will never walk again." Still this is only Tyrion's opinion. And it is really is just hearsay. Tyrion is not a medical man so I think it likely he could be wrong. He never examined Bran so other than what the believe is true of his condition there is no proof. Hope this helps.

spoiler alert but i am reading the books, and he is able to walk when he skinchanges into Summer. but no, i don't think he would ever be able to walk again. that said GRR Martin is a very unpredictable writer sooo, nothing is impossible

In the Book, well... it's unfinished so maybe. In the film series, didn't the Three-eyed crow negate that possibility in the last episode? So It looks like they have ruled it out for the series, but who knows? It could be a dramatic misdirect.

Yes Rem, he did negate that possibility for the film. I kinda doubt that he will walk again. You don't see a whole lot of warm and fuzzy stuff going on in GoT. There are moments that rip your heart out to be certain, but not in a warm and fuzzy way, so I just can't picture it.

He's going to turn into a tree like Brynden Rivers. Somehow this fits into defeating the Others or something, but I don't know how. But I doubt he leaves the Children of the Forest.
