I voted for more than one reason, and naturally I can't remember them all. I'd say to eat, drink and be merry would probably be my favorite reason for "being here," but honestly, I haven't the foggiest idea!

I choose to believe this, which various mystics of various religions have all said much better than I can, but at greater length:
"we choose to be born so we can learn stuff that we can't learn on the other plane, like how to deal with our own suffering and that of others, which helps us not only grow our own souls, but in the long run contributes to the ongoing creation of the universe."
But I chose "to be excellent to each other" because that pretty much is what it boils down to.

I can't quite decide if having been Pope of the Eastern Church of Tarim gives Cerebus more authority concerning this question, or less. Then again, the anthropomorphic aardvark has also literally met his own creator (Dave Sim) for whatever that's worth!
