That's hard! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd have to say LOTR, but the Silmarillion would be second. When I first read LOTR, TTT was my favorite book. Now I think ROTK is. ROTK was always my favorite of the movies too.

Good Poll!! [In reply to] Can't Post

That's tricky though, I love the ROTK book, but I also love the Children of Hurin and the Hobbit!! I love all of them, but probably out of that list, Unfinished Tales is my least favorite, but it is still amazing!

The Middle-earth books are amazing and Tolkien's legacy. Love 'em. [In reply to] Can't Post

But I also have this silly liking for Farmer Giles of Ham. When the mood strikes, there's nothing funnier.

LOTR and Silmarillion [In reply to] Can't Post

I've only read The Silmarillion once, but I thoroughly enjoyed it despite being pretty confused as to who was who and where was where. Laugh I would like to read it again some time when I can concentrate and take copious notes.

LOTR not only lends itself to multiple readings, it gets better with each one.

FOTR [In reply to] Can't Post

Not to say that LOTR goes downhill after FOTR, but it does become less Faerie and more World of Men.

The Lord of the Rings... [In reply to] Can't Post

I liked the Hobbit book but LOTR I feel was just way better and plus it was like the first BIG book I read when I was young.
