Moot with Magpie	Can't Post

I got to meet Magpie....yes, our Magpie. We mooted at her house last Saturday with Ordinaryhobbit. And I have to tell you, everything she says she collects...she does. I was very impressed with all the things she has collected. We had a really good time talking about TORn and life in general. I ate way too much cheese. I think it's fun getting together with people who share my passion for LOTR, and am already looking forward to the next time we moot. I encourage everyone to do it. It feels like you found an old friend that you had been missing.

I laughed when I read that half way through your report. That's kind of what the whole afternoon was like, wasn't it? A lot of thoughts just bursting to get out. I don't think we ever finished a thought before the next one started yelling, "Me! Me! Let me have a turn!"

It was a good time. I agree completely, it's like finding an old friend but one who hasn't yet heard everything we want to say.. nay, need to say about Tolkien a million times already. It doesn't matter that we think the same things, or have heard the same things from others.. we haven't said them to each other yet so we get to get on the ride one more time.

The goal was to work on our journal pages but none of us were really in a position to do that yet so we looked over the journal (way better in person than on the screen) and discussed options. We'll post a thread about our pages when we all finish them.

Ordinary Hobbit was here without Hobbit Love. They'll be stopping by this week to pick up the journal from me (graciously giving me a chance to finish my page before I hand it over to them instead of bringing my page to NYC) and giving Hobbit Love and I a chance to catch up. That woman is so dang busy!

And doh! I just remembered I thought we should take a photo of us and forgot completely. Oh well, my eyes wouldn't have been open in it anyhow. *snort*

Zmulady professes to be shy so she isn't pointing out her new avatar and footer images. That is one cool cat. I can't tell if s/he's smitten with Aragorn or Arwen, though.

That's my cat (Charlie), I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Except I've never sat that close to the TV.
