Miracle on 34th Street (original) Elf Die Hard (yes, it's a Christmas movie. I'll die on this hill. Or maybe on the roof of the Nakotomi Plaza.) Charlie Brown Christmas How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original cartoon, not Jim Carrey)
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters, these see the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep. -Psalm 107

Every time I watch Sleepless in Seattle, I hang up on two things: 1. If you're driving into town from the airport on I-5, you wouldn't go down to the waterfront and then up Broad Street. I get that they did that to frame the Space Needle, but still: nope. Also, you can't take a little dinghy from Lake Union Iwhere the houseboat is) to the beach at West Seattle. I mean, you could, but it involves going through a big lock and across Elliot Bay and would take HOURS, plus there's no way someone in a car could follow you. But they do get props for the tiramisu scene filmed on one of my favorite breakfast places down at the Pike Place Market. You come out here and I'll take you!

decide the shark was a worthy foe, or perhaps just a tiny bit too much for him? (Or does he ignore all screens like Cami and Reggie, who felt that without a scent, those things simply aren't *real,* and are thus beneath their dignity . . .)? Will Tama watch with you?

although he did like the odd programme with dogs. Tama is quite keen on TV. His favourite show is Country Calendar, a homegrown and very long running programme which often features excellent footage of high country mustering, his favourite. Tama saw Jaws for the first time last summer. I think he enjoyed it. Of note, his nickname is Baby Shark.

A Christmas Story Planes, Trains & Automobiles All of the Rankin/Bass ones The Apartment (I'm considering this one a holiday movie as it takes place over the holidays and IMO much of the momentum of the story comes from everyone's loneliness then!) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated) Home Alone & Home Alone 2 National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation I tend to watch all of these at some point in December, so I suppose they're near the top of my list!
