Death thought about it. "CATS," he said eventually, "CATS ARE NICE."

Er det dagen for å poste ting som vi ikke kan si på engelsk? [In reply to] Can't Post

Ev passe på å nevne Hengist i hver setning for å straffe han for unødvendig bruk av smilefjes?

What did he do to get his own day? St Olaf picked out peoples eyes with a horn spoon. I think that's sounds pretty disgusting.

Happy day to you too, Hengist.

March came in like a snow leopard here; snowed all yesterday and most of the night. Now it's sunny and hailing at the same time.

above the Auckland Harbour Bridge, alongside the New Zealand flag, to commemorate the day.

Actually that was yesterday, as we live in the future here :-)

Happy St David's Day to you.

Never mind - [In reply to] Can't Post

we can celebrate Dydd Dewi Sant ar hyd y nos as well! (I think that's right...) I went to night school to learn Welsh but I only did a term, then moved house.

St. Olaf did that? With a spoon? Eeew...
Brings to mind the Sherriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves -
'I'm going to cut his heart out with a spoon'.
Sir Guy: 'Why a spoon?'
Sherriff: 'Because it's dull, you fool it'll hurt more!'
Yes, I have watched that film a few times, in spite of the accents and dire geography...

Sorry, I digress.
