I know I'm not the only one here that is really into Conventions, especially the costuming aspect of it. Please take this opportunity to show us your creations, costumes, and costume props. I absolutely love looking at others convention, ren faire, and halloween costumes, so please indulge us! I'll get some of my pics together to share as well. I know WLE (and others) has some great stuff, so please show it!

Here are pictures of the costumes I've created in the last couple of years. I learned to sew just to make sci-fi/fantasy costumes! Only one LOTR costume to date, though I have a couple of Arwen's dresses and another Eowyn costume planned (along with tons of others). My costumes My Eowyn gown Unfortunately, I don't have a better pic of me in the Eowyn gown and it doesn't fit me at the moment But I'm working to change that.

Not a participant but an admirer. Of course you are. I love those late nights at DragonCon staring and commenting on the costumes. One of my very favorite parts of the Con.

I've been cosplaying ever since my first event, Comic Con 04. Since then I've gotten a better costume... I did not make it myself. I cannot sew for the life of me (I should take a college class or something, when I get there). My mom, bless her, knows how to sew and she put something together for me and herself for ORC 06.
So yea, that's the limit of my costuming XD

I admire all the work people put into their costumes - unfortunately I have neither the patience nor the talent to do anything like that!

I especially admire skill in a craft in which I have no skill whatsoever - the craft appears like magic to me. You all make stunning costumes, and for the life of me, I would not know where to begin to even attempt what you all do.

All of your customes look so terrific. I'm see if I can do something for ORC. Let me clarify. I can plan and buy and pick fabric but I do NOT sew. My moms does, milinary too. Maybe I can twist her arm. Awesome job on all who shared your pics.

I've never been to a con or ren faire, but I love the costuming aspect. The thing I have most enjoyed about Halloween is coming up with and making costumes for my kids. The year of the statue of Liberty's centennial I used some old hospital scrubs and a green drape to make a dress for my daughter, put green face paint on her and made a Statue of Liberty hat. She carried her flashlight torch and some books in her other arm. She won the prize at our apartments' party. It was a proud moment for me, seeing the judges write her down as soon as we came in the door! I will follow this thread with interest.

I can't sew, but I can take pictures. Here are some costumes I found on my work computer from DragonCon 2006. So here are three pics - Tom & Goldberry, V-Trooper and another Trooper and me. For those not familiar with DragonCon, it gives some flavor of the event as well.
