Interests: All equine-related things, reading stuff, talking to people who have read the same stuff, traveling, writing, aikido, photography. (Tolkien, but that's obvious.)
First Lord of the Rings reading experience: Hmm. I'm assuming not too many people will read this so guess I'll tell the truth...I read the books at around the same time as I saw the movies, I think the order went something like this: Movie FOTR, Book FOTR, Movie TTT, Book TTT, Book ROTK, Movie ROTK. I had a difficult time getting through the books when I attempted them before the movies. I now am something in between dabbler and scholar (I think the term might be "geek"), having gone through the Silmarillion, UT, Tolkien's letters and BOLT 1. I even occasionally find myself sounding like a book-purist.
Favorite Tolkien character: Always changes.Right now, Gandalf. I think it's because he's such a teacher and I'm at a point in my life where I feel like I have a lot to learn.Aragorn is my second and vies for favourite character position. I don't know why. Everybody likes Aragorn. Why do you like Aragorn? (Unless you don't, in which case my logic has backfired.)
Less Filling or Tastes Great: Tastes Great
Elves and Dragons or Cabbages and Potatoes: Elves and Dragons
