First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
read the books when i was in middle school and was profoundly moved all around: emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, artistically, philosophically. everything clicked one night as i stayed up all night reading "the crack of doom" and i started to cry. my faith in Christ and my whole lifestyle just suddenly was put into perspective and i was changed for the better.
Favorite Tolkien character:
as a writer and artist myself, it's hard to single out just one as my favorite. i come to love all the characters. the ones that moved me most of all were aragorn and boromir. aragorn: i feel i'm destined for great things. boromir: i screw up and pay for my mistakes, but redemption is never impossible.
