A dear friend gifted me the set of books in 2003 ... saw the movies for the first time in 2007 - what a blessing both the books and movies have been for me ...
Favorite Tolkien character:
Eowyn ... She is so brave, and summons the courage to kill the Witchking and even after all her valorous deeds she is able to undergo such an interesting character change to become a "healer" and lay down her sword ... It always seems to me that Tolkien had a lot of compassion for Eowyn's character, and I guess I do, too!
