First Lord of the Rings reading experience: My grandma read The Hobbit to me when I was very young, and I honestly didn't remember it very well. When the movies came out, I went to see them with my friends, and they ended up being disappointed because there "wasn't enough Orlando." As for me, I was totally blown away and I knew at that moment that I had to read the books. Now I've read the trilogy twice and I'm making my way through The Silmarillion... and I love ever moment of it. I'm so glad I discovered Lord of the Rings when I did, it has become a huge part of my life and has helped me get through a lot.
