First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
I waited until after watching the movies, and I don't think that was a mistake. I knew there would be a lot more detail int the books and I wanted to maximise my enjoyment of the films. They were awesome and they inspired me to read the books. The first reading experience was great. I stayed up all night reading until I was done.
Favorite Tolkien character:
Gandalf: The White.
He is the tactical genius largely responsible for the victory of the defenders of Middle Earth. Also, his vesture is awesome-looking. If you're going to save the world, you might as well wear awesome robes.
