My first encounter of Lord of he Rings ended in me flipping 114 pages of Return of the King because I wanted it to end - fast. I was 13. Inspired by the movies, I took the challange on again - and was thrilled. Since, I have at least one of the Tolkien books available at all times!
I love his work and world he created - and I admire how Sir Peter Jackson and all parties involved did with it...
Favorite Tolkien character:
Pippin! Because I love the way he deals with and sometimes simply ignores things.
He goes through the biggest adventure ever without even thinking about that this will have to some degrees an effect on his own life. Coming all the way through half of Middle Earth, Rivendell, the Mines of Moria, Lothlorien, Fangorn, Edoras and even Minas Tirith, without recognizing Aragorn for who he is: the designated king... great! I love it.
